Cytovet now also offers online interactive, face to face and modular CPD packages on approach to cytology and haematology in dogs and cats for vets and nurses in first opinion practice.

Below is an outline of current Cytovet CPD available:

1. Practice lunch and learn sessions on basic approach to cytology (session 1) and/or approach to haematology, urine and ear cytology (session 2). £180 for one hour or £300 for 2 hour session for as many practice members as you like. Mostly aimed at vets but also of interest to vet nurses who enjoy microscopy! Vets/nurses can pre-send any cytology samples you would like me to analyse and talk you through during the sessions.

2. One-to-one tailored sessions aimed at vets wishing to improve their microscope skills. 30mins per topic/organ eg. Ears, urine, mammary, LNs etc = £50, 2 topics per £100 hour session. You can book in as many topics/ 30 or 60 min sessions as you like! These are usually available to book on Mondays and Tuesdays 9-3pm.

3. As above but sessions tailor made for veterinary nurses

4. Watch this space for pre-recorded courses on general cytology and organ/fluid cytology!

5. If you’re a member of FOVU there are pre-recorded Cytovet sessions of cytology of thoracic and abdominal organs for each ultrasound module.
